Spend an academic year living, studying and playing rugby in Ireland. Attend a school in Dublin or Limerick, live with a host family and become part of the local community.

Experience rugby from two different perspectives by representing both your school and a local rugby club. Train and compete throughout the season while developing your skills, understanding and confidence in the Irish game.

The programme is about developing the person as well as the player. Living abroad provides opportunities to build independence, confidence and lifelong friendships while experiencing Irish culture and everyday life.

Beyond the classroom — live the language. From school and rugby to your host family and social life, players are immersed in an English-speaking environment every day, accelerating their communication skills and confidence.

EIRE Rugby provides a complete support network throughout the year, connecting players with their school, club, host family and programme staff. From the initial placement to the final match, our team is there to make sure every player feels supported, settled and able to make the most of their year in Ireland.
